What is the terminology for saying you got a really large male deer?

This may seem odd, but I cannot remember the terms. I'm writing a story where someone is comparing someone else to a prized red deer stag and I want to point out something about large antlers or something, but I'm not sure of the term. All I can think of is 7 point antlers or something.
Can anyone help me out?

actually, out here in washington state, we only count one side , and if it's an irregular we count like 4x5 or so on.The reason out west we only count one side, is because our deer are so big,why brag ! And I'm guessing saying it's a stag sound s big !

on the eastern side of the U.S. they count all the points and call it by the total number IE: I shot an 8 pointer. On the western half we count the points on each side seperatly IE: I shot a 4x4 etc.

"got a big buck".
They often count the tines on the antlers.
A '12 pointer` is really big, (usually 'the one that got away')..
