Would a two year old French hound (rabbit ) be gun shy if never been hunting.?

Also someone told me that the hound will always have their eyes on me in feild. True?

If it's french, I wouldn't doubt it.

most likely, however the hound is not to old to be taught new tricks. Take the hound out with other trained dogs while hunting just for a trial and see if he/she has that natural instinct.

Maybe,maybe not. Raised beagles and you couldn't tell if one would be gunshy until you shoot around them.

Does help to have older trained dog along.
