I had allot of Feed Problems with cheaper brands on my Walther P22. As long as you use Name Brand Jacketed Ammo, or at least Bullet Tips that have been Copper Bathed (thinner than Jacketing), you should not have any more problems.
As a last resort, have your Gunsmith polish the Feed-Ramp.

Eley - all of their loads are top notch.
Lapua - Same here; Lapua makes top notch ammo.
CCI - Green Tag
Federal - Gold Medal Target
These are typically considered the top of the line .22lr ammo and are used by a lot of smallbore competition shooters.
Personally, CCI, Aguila, Federal, Remington, and some Eley are always on hand for uses from target to small game.
Enjoy the P22.

I only use CCI or Federal ammo in my 10/22. Anything other will jam and misfire. My brother has a Marlin semi auto and Remington jams in his. I seem to have the most problem with Winchester wildcats. I prefer the Federal ammo.

If you ask me, I'd say the CCI Mini Mags because they always work reliably in semi-automatic .22's. That's what I've shot the most of in my browning and never a problem. The ones that really suck are the blazer rounds and the remington thunderbolts.

While I'm loyal to Federal in every other chambering, for my .22s I prefer CCI's products, particularly the Mini-Mag.
Take a look at this poll on Rimfire Central.....

My sister had a Ruger semi-auto .22LR pistol that was always misfiring, no matter what "name-brand" ammo was used -- until I took the firing pin and filed it down a bit. That pin was one of those punched-out pieces of junk, and it was too narrow on the "business" end.
But which brand is the "best"...I like Remington and Federal.

Go with the cheapest jacketed amm you can find. Stay away from lead. They will foul in semi autos, especially the Browning semi auto rifle alwaays jammed in receiver. If I used jacketed shells had no problem.

If you're looking for bulk ammo, look no further than winchester Dynapoints. Getting very hard to find though.

CCI cartridges, generally mini-mags. they are both cleaner and better than all the other ammo. about 6.99 per 100.

With 22LR anything that is on sale is the best.....I shoot a lot and what ever is cheapest is what I use and I have been "plinking" for over 35 years......
