I was thinking rather than buying a 150 dollar ground blind i would get one of my old sleeping bags(they are 7lbs and warm) and spray the bottom with truck bed liner or something waterproof. Then sew 2 layers of camo burlap to make it camo. Any better ideas?

a lay-out folding lawn chair and some 1/2" pvc pipe. the same burlap you mentioned earlier. the burlap covered PVC frame stands over the lay-out lawn chair. you can even use baling wire or twine to rig a door. if you can incorporate twine loops for adding natural foliage, thats a plus. the lawn chair also keeps you off the ground. out of the wet and cold.

good idea , burlap is very hardy and will withstand use

burlap is available in various widths 40 " 60 and 72 inches, You can save a lot of sewing by buying the correct width at the onset

My favourite selfmade modern replace into not quite meant for me. My mom in regulation gave me an angel decoration that my husband made while he replace into in kindergarten. that is a image of his face on an angel physique and he glued cotton balls on the wings. It even has somewhat halo created from aluminum foil. it consistently gets placed front and center on our Christmas tree.
