Question:
Help me decide on new gun stock!?

I'm totally stuck between two gun stocks, Boyd's Gun Stock, Varmint Hunter for my Savage 11G .223 rifle. They're exactly the same but I just can't decide on the color!

Royal Jacaranda - a rainbow like mix of colors

Forest Camo - earthly tones of brown, red and green
http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/VT-SAV-10-12-BLD-MAG-SA-CTF-BBC-FC-F-p/610-630.htm

I'm kinda leaning towards forest camo, it would look best with the blued barrel & action, but I'm planning a barrel upgrade later which may or may not be blued (SS or blued?), which in that case the royal jacaranda would probably look better.

I've been stuck on this decision for 3 months now. pls help!
no i can't get both (I wish I could)

The second one looks nicer in my book.

The first one looks a little fruity. It would look okay for a girl's gun, but it just doesn't look like something I'd want. Of course, I'm an unabashed fan of a plain wooden stock. Burlwood would look nice, too.

Personally i like the Forest Camo, i think the forest would look great with SS or blued, either way it would be outstanding looking with either finish. That's just my opinion though, personally i have never been too big on rainbow stocks.

I think you should get whichever color matches the terrain where you plan on hunting. The beauty of a laminated or wood gun stock is the ability to lend at least some camouflage your weapon.

I think the forest green would also reflect less light.

Ok then, flip a coin. Get what you think will turn heads at the range.

If you rely on concealment to hunt then I'd go with the forest camo. Although red is a color not often seen during most hunting seasons in nature. You really want to stick to what blends in not what is pretty. Pretty might get you noticed by your quarry way before you've a chance to bag him.

If You're hunting than forest camo would certainly be the best as the other Colors would be easily seen. But it also depends on what you're hunting as I use a wood stock for hunting foxes, deer and other game have to be stalked.

i like the royal better by a hair. but the forest is still very nice, just pick you because you really cant go wrong. i mean they are the same stock just a different color and they both look awesome. i bet they feel really nice and comfy when you get on the scope. well...... if your using a scope.

First looks better than second one .

Remember that those stock are not universal for any hand size .

You may be lucky will fit your hand or very disappointed because not .

Make sure you can return this stock in case of disappointment.
