In most states you can sell it at a gun show. Just put a sign on it and strap it to your back and walk around.

With hunting season ending in many areas, it may be best to wait and try to sell just prior to next season.

At local auction you can expect @ a 30% seller fee. At gunshows? Expect dealers to offer anywhere from 30 to 50% less than worth. But, the gun show will allow you to walk around and sell it on floor to anyone. Pawnshops are the worst at offering only 1/3rd value. Gun Shops may be your best bet. If, firearm is in very good to pristine condition.

As others advise. Local friends and family to get word out. News ads, etc. Some area radio stations offer Trade Days shows. Where you may call in and advertise over radio for free.

how much do you want for it??

what condition??

I would suggest just doing gunbroker.com

Guns sell for way more then normal and its like ebay but for guns. My online gunstore, budsgunshop.com does buy back deals but they have the best prices and really prob wouldn't offer you as much money as you could get off of gun broker.com

If none of your friends want it, ask them to ask their friends and spread the word around. Also I think some newspapers still do classifieds for firearms.
