What laser model gives you the best bang for the buck? Ive been looking at the CrimsonTrace and the LaserLytes. I dont mind spending good money, IF I get what I pay for. But do I really need to spend 100-$150 on a laser? Will the cheaper lasers be more susceptible to damage from recoil? Are they all equally durable, or are you paying for accuracy?

With lasers, you get what you pay for. Plan on spending at least $100, but you could easily drop 2-3 times that much.

I have a Crimson Trace on my Glock 19. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I had an Armalaser on my Kel-Tec. Broke after 2 weeks. Sent it back, and it broke again.

EDIT:: Ease of use is my major consideration. I like that with the Crimson Trace, I just squeeze the grip and it comes on. No buttons or switches to be looking for when you need it on.

Personally? My dad has lasers set up on a couple of his pistols - a Crimson Trace on a Beretta 21A, and a UniMax Micro on a CZ-SP01 Phantom. I've not tried lower cost laser sights, but mostly what you are paying for is being able to hold zero.

Green shows up better in daylight, but I've not had much of an issue with red. Between the Crimson trace and the UniMax I prefer the UniMax because I don't like the grip activation of the Crimson Trace, and in particular I like compact design of the UniMax.
