not true. .38 special is a bullet, not a gun model. and derringers have been made in a variety of calibers.

I have always wanted a 17 caliber .38 Special those are extremely rare. Seriously, If you can't find a better gun for protection, buy a baseball bat for back up.

I think you are mistaken in your description. A 38 special is a 38 special....an old snub nosed 6 shot revolver .38 caliber weapon (more than likely made by smith & wesson). A deringer is a .22 cal side by side 2 shot weapon that has a breach (is broken open). There is no such thing as a 38 special 2 shot deringer....you're combining 2 different handguns.
