9mm, 40S&W, 45ACP, 357 SIG, 10mm, 357 Mag, 44 Spl.....
all of em will kill bad guys equally dead if you do your part. Ain't modern bullet technology grand?
Plastic Guns really ARE as good as advertised.
Just cuz you heard it at the gun counter don't make it so. (Glock sucks, Taurus sucks, Kimber sucks.... etc, etc).
Politics are the refuge of the delusional.
Technically speaking.... guns are mentioned nowhere in the Bible.
Background checks are NOT the devil, because sadly..there ARE people who have no business being anywhere near firearms. Schizophrenia and Guns are NOT a good mix.
New and High Tech does NOT = better, automatically.
Old fashioned doesn't either.
As a point of fact, the USA does not HAVE a national language. Were one chosen... should it be Navajo? Cherokee?
Rush Limbaugh is every bit as big a moron as Micheal Moore.
Being a white, middle class conservative republican does not automatically make you smarter than anyone else.
The Beretta M9 has served just as well as the 1911 when the chips are down. Ball ammo is less than desirable anyhow, so I'll take 15+1 over 7+1. 1911 does have a lot nicer grip design though.
Smith and Wesson USED to make fabulous revolvers.... now they make wildly expensive ones. I cannot comment on their actual quality as I can no longer afford one.
Colt sold out the American shooting public decades ago. (And their 1911's are and long have been overpriced and overrated, which is why dang near every company from Remington to Kimber to S&W to Taurus make them today.. and make them better)
The 30-06 with the right load is still every bit as effective against all North American Game animals as it has been for the last 104 years. there is nothing on this continent it cannot humanely harvest.
Especially at the ranges 99.9% of sportsmen are actually able to reliably shoot in field conditions.
99% of people talking about their 400+ yard shots are full of manure. Punching paper on a still day is one thing.. living moving game in field conditions with the heart pumping.... not the same story.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with plastic and semi-auto rifles at a hunting camp. But they are not going to make up for any deficiencies on a hunters part, and offer little actual advantage over the traditional bolt gun or lever action. Plastic stocks are handy in crappy weather though.
The Deer has not been born that can tell the difference between a 30-06, .308 or 300 Win Mag. But your shoulder can.
Glocks are proven, great guns. But then, so are Springfield XDs, S&W M&Ps, and many many other pieces of Tactical Tupperware. It really does pretty much boil down to preference, though I have never seen another gun handle full house 10mm as well as a GLOCK. 95% of guns in 10mm shake themselves loose well shy of 10,000 rounds.
I hate compound bows and in-line black powder. I believe both totally compromise the spirit of the respective hunting seasons. If you need sights on your bow, stick to guns.
The .357 SIG really is a great round, and the recoil is really overrated.
The .357 Magnum is also great.. but the recoil in snubbies flat suck, and the report is not worth it when there are so many equally effective self defense rounds that won't permanently deafen you.
Modern bullet designs have significantly improved the 32 calibers. That said.. if you CAN carry more, why not?
Overall, with the introductions of pistols like Kel-Tecs PF9.. the 380 seems even more redundant than ever, especially considering scarcity and cost of ammo.
If you cannot handle the recoil of a 44 Magnum Levergun, you got real issues. Because anything in an actual rifle caliber over 223 is gonna kick the crap out of you.
Most people simply are not smart or honest enough to handle true "freedom", hence the need for 200,000+ laws on the books to keep the stupid and self-entitled semi in check.
*BTW...at 6'3"...only way I am gonna be under 200 lbs is by being anorexic.... glad Emos are not shallow or stupid or anything. Good thing she already has her excuse for when she porks out.
@Jon.. btw.. I'm a proud Kimber fan....... =P Best ever? Probably not. But show me one that is more accurate and reliable for the same price. Why spend 1000 bucks to buy one when I can get one that is just as good for 700?
