Crossbows are weapons of war. They have killed hundreds of thousands. Yea, rifles turned out to be better but crossbows are DEADLY, even the el-cheapo one made of plastic can kill.
Basically, unless it is sold in the toy department with plastic suction-cup darts, it is deadly.

Crossbows are extremely dangerous! Do not point them at anyone you do not want to hurt or kill. Just like a gun. They will penetrate human skin and muscle with ease.

Crossbows and compound long bows are used for hunting everything from small game like coyotes, to turkeys, deer, and up to bears. A crossbow is extremely powerful, the average draw weight is 150lbs. In most cases when someone is shot with a bow the arrow is still inside them going in one end and poking out the other, a crossbow has the power to completly pass thru the human body depending on where exactly it hits.

Be more specific... Like a real crossbow with an arrow? Yea that could kill you. As for the line hitting you. It would probably cut you.
