hi,im thinking of getting the gamo big cat 1200 pellet rifle for small game hunting and only know about scope problems with it and can you put a scope stoper so it doesnt move?
Yes the scope can go on walkabout with any powerful spring piston gun like the Gamo Big Cat. The solution is to install a scope stop, for which the Big Cat has already been drilled.
As far as the o-rings wearing out... You may want to lubricate them periodically with silicone based airgun oils. Don't use petroleum based oils or lubricants because that can actually damage the seals (the oils get sucked into the chamber and ignited by the high-pressure air causing detonations which might damage the o-rings.
The only other issues I know of off the top of my head are barrel droop. There's really nothing you can do about that except resight the gun in or add some components to your scope mount to compensate.

first i would try using the blue locktite from any auto craft or walmart store to hold your scope snug or u can spend the money for a new scope and rings andGamo does sell a scope stopper if the loctite dosent work. I have also heard of the o ring that seals the barrels wears after a while i simple fix for that is a little Petroleum Jelly around the o ring should reduce wear
EDIT:
my bad with the whole Petro Jelly we use it on o ring on our kiowa engines to reduce wear thanks for the catch
