Single Shot Slug Gun Questions? H and R / Rossi?

Im going to by a single barrel slug gun and it looks like the choices come down to the Rossi Rifled barrel slug gun and the H and R Ultra slug . Any real feed back on these,What can I expext accuracy wise and can I use a standard centerfire rifle scope

h&r/nef. Their quality is far above rossi.



If I was going that route, I'd probably buy a good rifle caliber and have a shotgun barrel added. The file frames will handle shotgun pressure fine. but the shotgun frames can't have a rifle caliber mounted on them. The additional barrels are around $100 per caliber.



In my collection I've got a .243 and a 45-70 that I ordered a .223 barrel for predator hunting. They're shooting around MOA. Some of my favorites in my collection :)

The H&R is an excellent product.... No I don't have experience with the Rossi but have met a couple of owners that had problem with the firing pins breaking.... Rossi may have since addressed these problems but am not sure....





On the other hand I own an H&R shotgun - A Pardner 12 gauge... its 4 years old and performs flawlessly..... I do recommend H&R product because of the fine results mine has given me....... I don't know if you have picked up and held / looked over the H&R ULTRA Slug gun - I have -- My observation is its kind of a cannon... I don't mean that in a bad way but a good way -- They are a little heavy to me (which means low recoil) - but that heavy barrel just gives the impression of heavy duty cannon!....

The H&R is twice the gun that the Rossi is. The stock has a much better cheek weld for a scope and the action is more smooth. Accuracy is superior. You can use a standard rifle scope.

Do you have the Rossi with interchangeable barrels? if so get the slug barrel, it has greater effective factors of interest and is choked for slugs. Rossi is conscious their weapons greater effective than any third social gathering and Rossi's legal professionals be attentive to how human beings elect to sue so there you go.

Well, I know if you have a 12 guage shot gun , from H&R,You can send the whole thing to the factory and they will fit a slug barrel on your gun for around $100.00

I know because I called and asked and they told me they would do that but they had to fit the barrel to the gun them selves....
