If you aim at the smallest target possible, you won't miss by as much as if you aimed at a larger target. It really is true. With my bow if I aim at a small target I get better groups then if I aim at a larger target from the same distance.

The rest of them got it. Aim at a single point where the round needs to go. Then, even if you are a little off, there is enough leniency that you will still get a fatal shot. That is why there are bright colored bullseye markings on targets (or at least I think that is why, other than to be visible).

My opinion: "If you aim at a man's heart or lung area and your aiming at a precise spot (aiming small) and you miss the that particular area then you have a chance of still hitting a vital spot (or missing small)."

Sorry if that doesn't make sense it was in my mind and I was trying to put it into words.

It means don't aim at the entire body, pick the vital area's and aim there, and if you miss that little area, then you will still make a killing shot

Be as careful and precise with your aim as possible, and you will be on target or real close. In the heat of a hunt or combat, many riflemen will forget to actually aim as well as they should.

In other words pick a spot, and focus entirely on it when aiming, and in so doing you will hit it or very close to it.*

What this means is this: Say for example, a deer . dont just aim at the deer, aim at a place on the deer.A differant colored patch of hair, a certain place in specific. That way your concentration will keep your sites on target. Or If it were a man ,for instance, aim at a button rather than just the man....you'll shoot tighter groups. ok justin said it better than me.
