I'm looking for a good multitool under $100 with the following features.
Scissors (I won't even consider anything without scissors)
Can opener
Bottle opener
Pliers
2 blades 1 serrated and 1 plain (optional)
Good quality blade(s)
Outside opening tools (at least the blade(s)) (can be opened with out opening the pliers)
NOT THE LEATHERMAN WAVE/SURGE

You just described a good chunk of Gerber's line.

I carry the Gerber Suspension, which has everything you list for around $40. However the can and bottle openers are the two kinda merged into one, but it works, and really how often is either used anymore.

I'm on my second one, the first one got lost a few months back, and performed flawlessly, and the steel is good enough where the blades do hold a good edge for quite a while. It's also sized about right where it's big enough to easily handle but not so large where it's unpleasant to carry.

As for a testament on the blade quality, the serrated one on mine basically only gets used to take hoof wraps off of dairy cattle, and still holds an edge. (think a really touch ace bandage with a cast-like texture that gets tromped thru manure for a week... nothing too kind on cheaper blades)

Good better best is an opinion. Best in catagory and customer reviews over all their competitors remains to be Leatherman. They have several other models if you don't like the Wave/Surge. I gave away the junk I had and I have tried most of them.

Now famous quote from 127 hours the movie "note to self don't buy cheap made in china multi tools."

Love the quote from 127 Hours - You definitely don't want to be sawing off your own arm with a cheap multitool! Leatherman obviously makes a good tool but personally I swear by my Gerber Strata. It has all the tools you mentioned above and is only $79.99. Worth every penny!

i'm sure there are plenty.....but the leatherman wave/surge are the 2 most popular FOR A REASON....they work and get the job done...

personally i like the wave better because it has a file....which i find very useful......

** btw what do u have against them?

but anyway just about every company out there makes some model that fits ur criteria.......use google and do a brand by brand search if u have to......

Got a problem with Leatherman? I have 2 and think they make great quality tools.

You might like this one by SOG:

Or Gerber:

I like the Gerber multi-plier.I like that you can open and close it with one hand and everything locks into place. My suggestion would be to look at the high quality ones ( they will be all together in the display case ) and just pick the one you like the most
