So I'm trying to get a parts list together for an Ar-15 I want to build. So far what I am planning to get is a mid length gas system with this barrel http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/upper-parts/psa-16-cmv-5-56-nato-mid-length-lighter-profile-chrome-lined-mp-premium-barrel.html
I want to install an A2 style gas block on the rifle, but I can't find one! All the ones that I have found are either replacement parts which require machining and extra parts, or are up in the $130's. I REALLY like the look of the A2 style gas block and don't want to go with a different one, so please don't recommend something else. Basically what I'm looking for is a A2 Style gas block, for my mid length gas system rifle, that I can buy in one piece and very simply put on my rifle. NO MACHINING OR EXTRA PARTS. And please keep it under about $55 after shipping.

How come you are not visiting the Equipment Exchange at www.ar15.com where you can buy, sell, and trade new and used parts?

I build match and tactical AR's. I sure hope you are smarter than your questions makes you appear.....because there are literally hundreds of web sites that sell what you are looking for...... and you have either taken an M16/M4/AR armor class or you have someone experienced to help you. An improperly installed barrel - becomes a pipe bomb - and it's gonna be real difficult for you to take off some young ladies bra with no fingers....... assuming she is ok with half your jaw and one eye missing when this improperly assembled gun blows up in your face.

Take a class. Find someone to help mentor your AR build. Do one or the other. Guy like me, we did not build our first AR's to be 'cool'. We did it because we were sick and tired of our match rifles spending weeks and months in a gunshop for a fifteen minute modification. Most had 12 or more years of military competition under their belt before assembling the first AR. Building your first AR is silly stupid. How about you google 'blown up AR-15' and take a peek at what other guys like you have 'accomplished' recently.

You need one that clamps on so you don't have to machine the holes for tapered pins.
