Question:
Can you use a red dot scope at night or does the red dot not show up? (this is for hunters and shooters)?

If the scope is battery powered will the red dot show up?

The red dot is only in your sight not like a laser dot that shines on the target directly. So I would say NO.

Also I would say to check your local laws about using a gun after dark. In my state it is illegal to hunt at night, except for racoon.

Red dot scopes work fine at night. Be aware, however, that they do nothing to illuminate the target, so before you squeeze the trigger in the dark be sure of what you're aiming at and what's behind it.

yes, it shows up. so do any imperfections in the dot. i had a tasco red dot, at night it was more like a red oval. i returned it.

its much easier to see at night, in fact unless its a good one it could be too bright at times
