Well no. I've never hunted turkey but I do know some thngs about them. They don't get that big out in the wild. 25lbs is basically the wild turkey weight limit. Most females never get over 10lbs and males over 20 lbs. Probably 14-18lbs. And those 20+ pounders are rare, they have to be pretty old to get that big. Any heavier and the bird cannot fly. The turkeys you buy at the store are made to be large. They cannot fly and cannot mate. Getting that big in the wild works against it.
And if you say you have your lying.

I think that 6 year old kids weigh about 40 pounds. I can't imagine a turkey weighing that much.
About the biggest while turkey I ever shot was 16 pounds after it was field dressed.

NO but I bagged a 14 pounder and showed it to the person who taught me much about hunting. He said it was only 9 or 10 lbs. I took it to the local butcher shop [hoping to prove him wrong ] in a shopping bag it weighed 6 3/4 lbs. I later told him and we had a good laugh. It looked like a B-29 I shot it in the air while hunting grouse in My native Pa. mountains near my home town. The small shot knocked her down and she lay with wings out stretched and I grabbed her and broke her neck.

Yeah... I gotta say, 30-40 pounds out in the wild is positively massive. Hell, even the farm raised ones don't get *that* big... that's almost the size of a mid sized dog! (on the lower side of "mid").
A *big* one I'd say is around 20 pounds... and even that is friggin' massive... that's before you dress it too...
Try around 15lbs. before you dress it. That's about the size some of the ones I've shot get.
