I just got a Crossman Pumpmaster 760 and I was wondering if it was a bad idea to pump it more than once. I noticed that after pumping it a couple times it gets harder to pump, does this increase pressure, making the gun shoot faster and harder?
also is it bad for the gun to pump more than once?

It's a good idea. The manufacturer will specify the "do not pump more than(blank) times. I have a Remington Airmaster 77. It can be pumped up to ten times. One pump is pretty weak, but ten adds a lot of force behind the projectile.

You can pump a Crosman 760 from 1 to 10 times
You add more air pressure with each pump, so yes, the gun does become more powerful. >You will notice a greater difference from the first few pumps, than from the last couple.
Do not pump more than the recommended maximum, this will not make your rifle more powerful, but it can/will damage the gun.
