.177 steel bb's or better yet, .177 lead pellets.

The Crosman "Copperhead" BBs are less expensive than the Daisy zinc plated ones, so I would use Crosman.

BBs are smaller(.171 - .173) than .177 caliber pellets. Load the rifle correctly and they should not fall out. The magnetic bolt picks up a steel BB from the magazine when you follow the correct loading procedure.

Use only .177 caliber pellets. The Remington AirMaster 77 is generally going to prefer pellets that weight around 8gr. The .177 caliber Crosman Premium pellet is sold at Walmart for around $3 per 300

The Crosman 2100 (AKA Remington Airmaster 77) takes .177 caliber BBs. Those are the steel ones. The larger plastic ones are 6mm and won't chamber/will jam your gun.

Your best option is, as Airgun Target said, to use .177 caliber lead airgun pellets since they'll deliver more energy and be more accurate.
