I was born in Florida and moved to Canada when i was 13. I have a PAL and restricted firearms license in Quebec. My grandfather recently passed down south (Florida) and he left me a hand gun in his will, that I would like to bring back. While I am there I would like to buy a rifle or handgun and bring it back at the same time. I would like to know if any or all of this is possible, especially my grandfathers piece.

I have dual citizenship, but no valid drivers license from FL. just a birth certificate.

Valid licence-holders are allowed to import firearms into Canada. Restricted firearms must be verified and registered before they may be imported, and you need an authorization to transport to move it from the border to your home (or, you need it to be shipped by a carrier rated to transport firearms). Sounds simple, right? Well, except the US actually has some rather vigorous restriction on exporting firearms. It's legal by Canadian law for you to go down to the states, buy a firearm for which you have a valid rating for and to import it. But it's quite illegal by US law for you to buy firearms or ammunition with the intention of exporting them across the border, and if the BATF finds out that it's going on they will crap on you from tremendous heights with blinding accuracy. That's why importing from US to Canada tends to come through a chain of licensed dealers. For example, irunguns.ca.

Your US passport will establish you as a citizen,( birth certificate does not do that, neither does being born in the US guarantee current citizenship) but you must also establish residency before you can buy any gun in the US

A handgun transfer must be in your state of residence and a long gun transfer must be through an FFL and legal in both states. You have no state to be legal in so you can not buy

There is a process to ship your gun to Canada but it would have to leave America via a licensed exporter

The only possible way around it would be to establish the gun's legality in Canada, come pick it up and take your chances at the exit border. I'm thinking that that would not be a really great idea

the foremost word is "reproduction" i'm guessing it says that because of the fact the plainly like an easily gun. whether that's a reproduction then it's going to be unlawful in Canada. not on account that this is an airsoft and over 500 FPS, yet once you think approximately that plainly like a realg firearm. reproduction firearms are unlawful, and recognized a firearms offense. you're looking at at 10 years for having one.

The purchase in Florida may be a problem, and for "importing" the weapons you would need to ask the Canadian agency that issues the licenses.

I think the handgun(s), if operable, would be the biggest problem.
