If You Had $700 To Spend on an O/U or SxS?

Question

I want to get an o/u or sxs shotgun in 20 gauge for upland game hunting.

So my question is if you had $700 and no more, what would you get? would you go used market or new.

To get a decent quality o/u or sxs you will need to look at used guns in good condition. It is doubtful that you will find a good sxs at this price and even a good used o/u from quality manufacturers such as Remington, Winchester, Ruger, Browning, etc will be hard to find. A Ruger Red Label or Remington Peerless are the likely possibilities. Check websites such as "Auction Arms" and "GunsAmerica" for possibilities.

I would go for a SxS, used, because: 1) As it is a SxS, you can typically get a better quality gun cheaper, 2) As it is used, you can find some really good deals out there, unless you get into the high-end stuff.
